Abstract

Biodiversity is a biodiversity that lives on earth that refers to variations of life that include shapes, amounts and other characteristics found at the genetic, species and community levels. Indonesia is a country rich in biodiversity, in which there are many kinds of biodiversity so it is familiar if it is said to be a Megabiodiversity Country. This research was conducted with the aim of: (a) knowing the height of a national park with species similarities, (b) knowing the protected fauna in 24 National Parks in Indonesia based on PP No. 106 of 2018 on protected flora and fauna, (c) knowing the protected fauna in 24 National Parks in Indonesia based on CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) in 2019. This research was conducted from September to November 2020 with research sites located in 24 National Parks in Indonesia. The research method is to use literature studies in 24 National Parks in Indonesia with data sources of literature each 2 reference sources. The method of analysis in this study is to use descriptive analysis of data tabulation, both qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on analysis from 24 national parks produced 168 protected species according to PP No.106 Year 2018 and 56 species according to CITES 2019.
