Abstract

This devotion activity aims to increase the community's knowledge and perception of geothermal potential. The methods used are lecture and discussion methods and then post-test to know the understanding of the Perserta. The objectives of this dedication are apparatus of Pekon (village), community leaders, and the parties affected by the development of geothermal activities in Way Tenong Sub-district and Bandar Negeri Suoh subdistrict. Number of participants present in the socialization activities as many as 18 participants. The results of devotion give the idea that the extension activities provided has improved knowledge and community related to geothermal potential, seen from the improvement of pre-test and post-test obtained from 49.53 to 86.59. Counseling affects people's perception for a better potential to develop geothermal potential. The community hopes to be involved in the geothermal development process. In addition, the community requested a time and indemnity when the Land (land) to be ruled must be abandoned for the benefit of geothermal development.
