Abstract

This research is conducted to determine the not polite speech used by teenagers. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data were analyzed in this study were not polite form of speech used by teenagers. The results showed that the language in communication not polite adolescents done when the speaker is angry. In addition, the relationship between the narrator and hearer also affect the not polite language in communication. Violation of the principle of civility in speech dominated by the maxim praise adolescents. Keywords: adolescents, communication, maxims, not polite.
