Abstract

Soil respiration is an important indicator in an ecosystem, covering all activities of microorganisms that are related to metabolic processes in the soil, decomposition of organic matter in the soil, and conversion of soil organic matter to CO2. This research aims to study the effect of tillage systems on soil respiration, study the effect of N fertilization on soil respiration, studying the interaction of N fertilization with soil respiration. This research was designed using a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 4 replications. The first factor is the tillage system (T), namely T0 = No Soil and T1 = Intensive Soil Treatment, the second factor is long-term nitrogen fertilization (N), namely N0 = 0 kg N / ha and N1 = 50 kg N / ha. This result analyzed with varian analyzing followed by the LSD test at the real level of 5%. The results showed that soil respiration in intensive tillage was higher than without tillage on the observation of H + 6, H + 18, H + 54 and H + 72, but not on the observation of H + 2 and H + 4, soil respiration on N fertilization. higher than without N fertilization, there was no interaction between the tillage system and N fertilization in increasing soil respiration.
