Abstract

The Comparison of the effect of Learning Models Between Guided Inquiry and Modified Free Inquiry on Science Process Skills. This study aims to compare the effect of applying guided inquiry learning models with modified free inquiry on science process skills on the subject matter of biodiversity. The population in this study were all students of class X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Sekampung. While the sample in this study were students from class X MIA 1 and X MIA 2 which were sampled using cluster random sampling techniques with a total of 74 students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with Non-Equivalent Pretest-Posttest designs. Data is taken from pretest and posttest values. Data were statistically analyzed using the Ankova test and the Least Significant Difference test (LSD). The results showed that the science process skills of students in the modified free inquiry group were higher than guided inquiry group with a difference in average value of 9,302
