Abstract
There are several problems during Nilem culture, such as slow growth, low egg quality, lack of egg continuity, and limited spawning time. This study aimed to evaluate the reproductive performance and absolute growth of nilem by oral treatments containing recombinant giant grouper. The study design used five treatments with individual replications: without egg yolks, phosphate buffer saline, and without r-ElGH (A, negative control), with the addition of egg yolks, phosphate buffer saline, and without t r-ElGH (B, positive control), and different r-ElGH dose (20, 35, 50 mg/kg of feed; C, D, and E) by giving treatment feed every five days for 45 days while maintenance feed uses feed without r-ElGH, egg yolks, phosphate buffer saline (negative control (A) for 67 days every three days in the morning, afternoon, and evening using the ad satiation method. The result showed that the addition of r-ElGH significant affected reproductive performance with increasing fecundity and increasing absolute growth in female nilem compared with the negative control.
