Abstract
Production forests have an important role in human survival in improving the economy. The production forest in the KPH Gedong Wani precisely in the Kandis Resort register 40 has a homogeneous stand namely Gmelina arborea which functions as an industrial raw material. This research is important because there are pest attacks on stands that are very detrimental and can affect the productivity of Gmelina arborea. The study was conducted in July-August 2019 in an area of 8,431 ha with a sample plot of 20m x 20m totaling 15 pieces arranged systematically. The study was conducted to obtain the percentage of the number of trees that were damaged and the level of damage to wareng forest stands. The results of this study obtained data on the percentage of damage of 82.27% with a very heavy category, this majority is caused by pest attacks in the form of shakes (Duomitus ceramicus), black ants (Fuligunosus lasius), tree termites (Neortemes tectonae), soil termites (Rhinotermitidae) and partly due to human activities in the form of burning down the tree. This pest attack needs to be controlled so as not to interfere with the growth process of wareng trees. Keywords— Production forest, pest, KPH Gedong wani, Gmelina arborea
