Abstract
This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of ALQURUN teaching model on students’ mathematical communication skill. The population of this research was all students of 8th grade at SMPN 10 Bandarlampung in the academic year 2018/2019. The samples of this research were VIIIB and VIIIC chosen by cluster random sampling technique. This research used pretest-posttest control group design. The data were obtained by the essay test of mathematical communication skill. The data were analyzed by using proportion test and Mann Whitney-U test with the significance 0,05. Best on the results of his research, it can be concluded that ALQURUN is not effective, but it can be used to improve students’ mathematical communication skill.
