Abstract

Pursuant to Law Number 5 of 1990 concerning the conservation of living natural resources and their ecosystems, the grand forest park is a nature conservation area for the purpose of collecting natural or artificial plants and or animals, native or non-native species, which are utilized for research, scientific, education, supporting cultivation, culture, tourism and recreation. One of the Forest Parks (Tahura) in Lampung Province is Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman (WAR). Tahura WAR was determined based on Minister of Forestry's Decree No. 408 / kpts-II / 1993 with an area of 22, .244 Ha. With the consideration to ensure environmental preservation and nature conservation, the Register 19 status of Gunung Betung was upgraded to Tahura with an area of 22,249.31 ha. Until now forest land conversion / land conversion is a serious threat to the Tahura WAR area. The encroachment carried out by the community resulted in the conversion of the land and the impact of the reduction in the function of the great forest park as a protector of the life support system ecology. As a result of the reduced protective function of this ecological process, one of which is the reduced diversity of fauna found in Tahura WAR. This research was conducted at the Wan Abdurrahman Integrated Conservation Education Forest arboret in March 2020. The purpose of this research was to find out the diversity of fauna contained in the Integrated Forest Education Conservation Arboretum of the Tahura WAR. To collect data and information on fauna, wildlife inventory is carried out using the line transect method and vegetation analysis for their habitat. The length of the observation lane is 500 mm and the width of the lane is 50 m. the results obtained show that there are 49 types of fauna. Keywords— Fauna, diversity, Tahura WAR.
