Abstract
This study aims to describe the image of the main female character in Ratih Kumala's Girls' Kretek novel as an alternative learning material in high school. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The use of descriptive methods in this research is to describe the image of women in the novel by Ratih Kumala Gadis Kretek. The image of women found is the image of women in the family and the image of women in society.
