Abstract

There are so many species of woody plants can be used as food-producing for human being.The application of agroforestry techniques by planting a mixture of woody plants with agricultural plants can form the forest garden plants as food-producing. This research intends to analyze the woody plant species compositon, dominant woody plant species, and food-producing plants proportionon cultivated area of KPPH Sumber Agung, Wan Abdur Rachman Grand Forest Park. This research was conducted using vegetation survey analysis on 471 ha cultivated area of KPPH Sumber Agung, Wan Abdur Rachman Grand Forest Park. The observation plots were determined by systematic sampling with intensities of 1% using line quadrat method, distributed into 118 sampling plots. The research found 47 woody plant species which aredominated by durian, cacao, rubber tree, coffee plant, and melinjo. The group of food-producing plant has greater proportion of species than Non-food-producing plant, about 55.3% : 44.7%. The group of food-producing plant also has greater proportion of density than Non-food-producing plant, about 77.3% : 22.7%.The plant-based food comodities are produced in the form of fruits, seeds, leaves, sugar palm saps, and bamboo shoots. Food-producing plant mostly from a group of fruit trees, about 19 species or 38.3% of all plants. Based on species composition of standing vegetation, cultivated area of KPPH Sumber Agung on Wan Abdur Rachman Grand Forest Parkis potentially as food-producing area.
