Abstract

Abstract Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is one of the main indicators of a country's health status. Maternal mortality rates in hospitals in Indonesia in the span of 2003-2008 per 100,000 live births were in 2003 as many as 153 people, in 2004 as many as 956 people, in 2005 as many as 116 people, in 2006 as many as 237 people, and in 2007 as many as 228 people. This figure is still quite high compared to other countries in Southeast Asia. Knowledge and public awareness about the health of pregnant women is a determining factor in mortality, although there are still many factors that must be considered to deal with this problem. Poor women's empowerment, educational background, family socio-economic, community environment and policies are also risk factors for AKI. On the basis of this, the researcher tried to conduct research on the knowledge of pregnant women regarding the danger signs of pregnancy and childbirth. This research is descriptive with a cross sectional design that aims and a sample sampling method of sampling conception. This research was conducted at the Abdul Moeloek Hospital Midwifery Clinic, Bandar Lampung, in August-September 2018.
