Abstract— Indonesia is a country that rich in animal diversity, but some animals fall into the category risk of extinction. The government has made various conservation efforts to protect its existence. One of them is by observing the existence of these animals. Direct observation is difficult because some species are elusive. Because of these characteristics, these animals have a remote and difficult to access territorial area which makes direct observation difficult. Therefore a camera trap is designed that records video automatically with real time display on the video sender-based user interface. The camera trap is also capable of sending videos to observers who are not at the observation location. From the results of the study it was found that on average the camera trap was able to active for 20.8 hours, able to detect objects up to 6 meters at angle of 0 degrees and a maximum of 4 meters at 90 degrees angle coverage, video sender sending distance no more than 300m, for recording during 5 seconds the average data size is 505.54 kB, at night the object that can be seen clearly is only up to a distance of 3 meters.
