The Effect of Problem Based Learning Models on Students' Literacy Capabilities on the Subject Matter of Environmental Change. This study aims to describe the effect of the use of problem based learning models on students' scientific literacy abilities on the subject matter "Environmental Change". The sample in this study were 60 students of class X SMA Negeri 1 AmbarawaPringsewu district. Sampling using cluster random sampling techniques. The research instrument uses pretest-posttest sheets and questionnaire responses of students to the problem based learning model. The research design used in this study was non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The results of the pretest-posttest and n-gain values were analyzed with the Independent Sample t-test and the results of the peperta students' questionnaire responses were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that there was an influence of learning using the problem based learning model on students' scientific literacy abilities. The results of scientific literacy skills of students using problem based learning models have a significant effect on the experimental class. This shows that the application of the problem based learning model has a significant effect on the ability of students' scientific literacy on the subject matter "environmental change".
