Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of guided discovery in terms of students’conceptual understanding of mathematics. The population in this study was all students of grade VIII of SMP Tri Sukses in academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 85 students which were distributed into four classes, they were VIII A until VIII D. The samples of this research were students of VIII A as many as 20 students and VIII C as many as 22 students which were taken by cluster random sampling technique. This research was used non equivalent control group design. The data of this research was obtained from student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics data. The data analysis of this research use d t-test. Based on the results and discussion, guided discovery model influenced to student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.
