Abstract

The family of the GLL distribution includes several well-known distributions, such as loglogistic, lognormal, Weibull, chi-squared, and gamma distribution as limiting distributions or special cases. The GLL distribution might also be to the other well-known generalized distributions, such as generalized F (GF) and generalized Beta (GB) distributions. Because of its features, its parameters need to be estimated and evaluated precisely and accurately. We propose to use the method of probability-weighted moments to derive estimators of the moderate, and large samples large samples, via computer simulation.
