Abstract
The aim of this study to evaluate fifteen kinetic models by fitting the adsorption of chromium experimental data from aqueous solution on modified adsorbent from activated sludge and natural zeolite. All the fifteen kinetic models parameter were determined and ranked by sum of square errors (SSE). The results showed that intra-particle diffusion, power, Bangham, fractal exponential, fractal mixed 1.2 order,first order, fractal-like pseudo first order, fractal-like second order have a good fit to experimental data as their values of SSE 0.00057, 0.000617, 0.000617, 0.000621, 0.000624, 0.000639, 0.000639 and 0.000653 respectively. However the larger value of SSE was obtained for the pseudo first order, the pseudo second order, Avrami, exponential, Boyd, and mixed 1,2 model as their values of 0.002085, 0.001204, 0.002085, 0.00155, 0.004273, 0.00121
