Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems that arise from the implementation of the strategy of tourism development and creative economy in Pulau Pisang, Kabupaten Pesisir Barat, Lampung Province. The purpose of this research is to analyze the synergy done by various parties in the development of marine tourism in Pulau Pisang. The research used qualitative approach with descriptive type. Data collection techniques used interviews, documentation and observation while data analysis was done through data reduction, data display and conclusion. The results obtained that the strategy of marine tourism development in Pulau Pisang was not well implemented without the synergy between government, society and investors. The government was the pioneer of the construction of facilities both the main facilities and infrastructure for potential investors who will invest their capital. The recomendations for this research are that local governemnats should increase extension activities such as training and community education to create community awareness, while the private sectors could invest their capital by building incomplete facilities needed near the tourism attraction.
