Abstract

A study analysis of Amplitude versus Offset (AVO) and seismic inversion use Bandlimited, Blocky and Sparse Spike Method to identify zone of gas reservoir in Lapangan Wiyar South Sumatera Basin which is the operation area of "X" International Companies in Indonesia have been done. The objective of this study is attribute Volume Acoustic Impedance (AI) at Lower Talang Akar Formation finding character of reservoir at Lower Talang Akar Formation analysis of attribute AVO which is Intercept (P) * sign Gradient (G) has been done with result are the zones of AVO anomaly by sand-gas. AVO analysis at Lower Talang Akar Formation, Wiyar Field result of sand-gas type III. This is can see from the multiple of Intercept with Gradient that negative and acoustic Impedance relatively the same with the layer above. The result of seismic inversion by quantitative give the range of acoustic Impedance value at Lower Talang Akar Formation are 14,000–28,000 ft/s.gr/cc. Blocky method give the best result to find lateral resolution. Distribution zones identical by low of acoustic Impedance, it can also see by made a slice in Lower Talang Akar Formation.
