	<meta name="DC.Description" xml:lang="en" content="  This study aims to describe the effectiveness of POGIL model to increase critical thinking skills in chemical equilibrium topic. The population is all of students XI Science at   one of Senior High School in Bandar Lampung teaching year 2018/2019, sample selected by purposive sampling tehnique obtained XI Science 5 as experiment class and XI Science 6 as control class, use   quasi experiment method with   pretestt-posttest control group design. Experiment class use POGIL model and control class use lecture convensional. The result with t-test indicated that score of n-Gain mean difference was significantly different experiment and control class, supported by the persent of student activity average at experiment class is higher than control class  ,   and POGIL model was implemented by high criteria. From the result can be conclude that the learning with POGIL model is effective to   increase critical thinking skills in chemical equilibrium topic.       Keyword : Chemical equilibrium, critical thinking skills, effectiveness of POGIL model     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model POGIL untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi kesetimbangan kimia. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa XI MIPA di salah satu SMA di Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2018/2019, sampel dipilih dengan teknik  purposive sampling  yaitu XI MIPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIPA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol, menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen   dengan  Pretestt-Posttest Control Group Design . Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model POGIL dan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode ceramah. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan perbedaan rata-rata skor  n-Gain  yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol, ditunjang dengan rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol, serta model POGIL terlaksana dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model POGIL efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi kesetimbangan kimia. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model POGIL efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi kesetimbangan kimia.</p><p>Kata kunci : Efektivitas model POGIL, kesetimbangan kimia, keterampilan berpikir kritis</p></div>
